MLP Jasper

Lately I've been totally obsessed with Jasper!!

Even though we only saw her in the two episodes "The Return" and "Jailbreak" I really really want to see more of her and get to know her character more, but I absolutely love her design! I'm also really hoping to see her get a redemption arc like Peridot (Lapis Lazuli's already friends with Steven so she just needs to learn to trust the other Crystal Gems). I've already watched the SU leaks with Malachite versus Alexandrite so we won't have too long to wait for her return, but I do wonder how her redemption would play out: Maybe after she's been captured they'll bubble her temporarily, create some kind of cage like the ones from the spaceship and try talking to her from there or maybe she'll be disgusted by the cluster experiments and realise Homeworld isn't as great as she thinks. I get the impression that if she decides to turn against Homeworld, she'll have kind of Vegeta/Piccolo-esque relationship with the Crystal gems and Steven, perhaps at first not 100% on their side but not trying to attack and/or kill them either, dunno just a hopeful thought.

Anyways not a whole lot to say about this picture other than I'm super happy with how it turned out especially since I decided to combine my two favourite cartoons. I will continue putting up more Steven Universe characters each day depending on how quickly I draw and colour them. I already drew Steven and Connie first but I just couldn't wait to upload this big, brawny beautiful gem first!
